Phénix de l'Ordre

In order to continue the work begun by Jean Granger (said Tourniac), in Ordine, dictus Frater Johannes eques a Rosa Mystica, this province has discretly been restored in 1995 by the Metropolitan College of Grand Professes in its Grand Priory, followed by some dozens of Knights and almost the same of Novice Equerries and Scottish Masters, all coming from the French National Grand Lodge (GLNF) and the Great Priory of Galls (GPDG).

Since 2000, some brothers have joined this Grand Priory which had then to rebuild a symbolical and traditionnal Grand Lodge. This one works T.T.G.O.T.G.A.T.U. and manages the degrees of Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft and Master Mason, in order to be in harmony with the Grand Lodges system which only manages these 3 first grades.
Non masons are initiated there and young brothers are getting to know this heartly and generous rite.
There is therefore no need to belong to the Reformed and Rectified Scottish Grand Lodge of Occitania (Grande Loge Ecossaise Réformée et Rectifiée d'Occitanie) to work to the grades of the Grand Priory. Some Lodges of St Andrew and Commanderies are already formed with brothers coming from other Grand Lodges and who are still remaining in their mother lodges.

The goal :

  • The personal improvement with the work each Man has to do on himself.
  • The exercise of an active and enlighted Charity toward all Men, whatever their political, religious opinions or citizenship could be.

So the union of universal and traditionnal Freemasonry and Chivalry is built, Christian in its roots and generous according to the teachings of the Volume of the Sacred Law.

There is not other rite in use here but the Rectified Scottish Rite as it was and remains for the Chivalric Masonic Orders of different rites in France and in some other countries like Sweden, Denmark, Germany...

It is a regular, traditionnal and masculine Order, accordlingly the 1717+ original criterions. The Rite is made of three classes which are :

1) The Beneficient Knights of the Holy City chapters for the fifth and sixth grades, governed by an elected Grand Prior, assisted by the Grand Capitularies such as the Prioral Visitors, Preceptors, Commanders.

2) The Scottish Directoir of the Lodges of Scottish Masters of St Andrew, fourth grade of the Rectified Scottish Rite, governed by the Grand Prior, assisted by the Deputy Masters and by the General Deputy Master who is also the General Master of lodges of St John to preserve the harmony between the different classes which are each remaining sovereign in their particular domain.

3) The Scottish Grand Lodge for the Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft and Master Mason grades, governed by the elected General Master of Lodges of St John assisted by a college of Grand Officers and of the Worshipful Masters.

Above these 3 classes, there is a very discret Metropolitan College of Professes and Grand Professes, having an uninterrupted filiation since 1778, whose role is to provide advices and to be a guide for the classe's leaders.
Its members don't have to officialy claim their membership. We could consider it as an inner circle of research and higher studies on fundamental topics such as the meaning of life, the antique ways of Initiation, the art of meditation...
